The Foundry Wine Collection was established in 2001 by Chris Williams (who spent many years making wine at Meerlust) and his great friend James Reid. With plenty of blood, sweat and tears, Chris has developed The Foundry into a leading exponent of the New South Africa wine revolution, gaining numerous accolades and awards for their site specific, terroir defined wines.

This Grenache Noir is a deep ruby colour with good intensity on account of the low production per vine.

Corlien’s tasting notes: Clean, bright and fresh!  Fenugreek and pink peppercorns present on the nose, whilst on the palate there is an interesting spice, fresh cherries and some pomegranate.  There is an admirable length, depth and breadth to this wine.
