The Whole Bunch Syrah forms part of our Projects Range. These are wines we can get geeky about – interesting, small runs, slightly quirky, but always delicious!
All fruit was hand-picked, whole bunch (carbonic) fermented for ten days, pressed and taken off the lees and then aged in steel tanks for ten months.
A floral, earthy and intensely complex vintage showing a dense core of black and red fruits and white pepper that again nods towards the northern Rhone. The palate is not without tannin or acidity but is led by pure fruit and a touch of aromatic spice. The overall effect is lifted and ethereal where the 2021 was dense and coiled – making this more approachable though no less beguiling.

The Whole Bunch Syrah forms part of our Projects Range. These are wines we can get geeky about – interesting, small runs, slightly quirky, but always delicious!
All the fruit for this Syrah was hand-picked, whole bunch (carbonic) fermented for ten days, pressed and taken off the lees and then aged in steel tanks for eight months.
The third vintage of the Whole Bunch continues in the same fresh, drinkable vain as the first two with dark berries, black olive tapenade, violets and a hint of reduction combining for a vintage that is all about intensity and purity of fruit. As the wine unfurls, the black fruits make way for brighter rhubarb and red plum, as cloves and liquorice add savoury complexity.
