This is a stylish rendition of our local grape, the pale onion skin colour beautifully presented in an equally sleek outfit. On the nose nuanced aromas of rosehip and watermelon are followed by notes of grapefruit and candied lemon peel. The palate is firm and crisp, striking a perfect balance between palate weight and freshness.
Elmie Rosé is the product of a long-held dream to produce a wine of true elegance and verve from the granitic terroirs of Stellenbosch. Together, husband and wife, Etienne and Lizanda Terblanche, set out to showcase a side of Pinotage that is not considered the norm. Striving to weave the subtle thread of place from soil to glass, and only working with small parcels and winemaking on boutique-scale, the petit Maison Terblanche could be the smallest Rosé specialist in South Africa, if not the world!
