Costières de Nîmes has more in common with the Rhône across the river than it does with the wines of Languedoc immediately neighbouring it. Château Guiot lies just outside the city of Nîmes, in the heart of this appellation. This southern tip of the Rhone valley is truly one of the most beautiful areas in France. Chateau Guiot estate enjoys a wonderful landscape where their fully organic vineyards oversee the Camargue. This red is a deliciously friendly blend of Syrah and Mourvedre aged in barrels for 18 months. Deep purple hue, a beautifully scented nose with herby aromas, lashings of juicy forest fruits and spicy, rich berry flavours on the palate and a good, smooth finish.
