Cabernet Franc from Stellenbosch and Cinsaut from Darling.
The blend of cultivars composing Sophie were informed by the now classical dry-red blends from South Africa utilising Cinsaut and a believe in the utter beauty of Cabernet Franc. The resulting wine has an ethereal appearance, yet lacks no substance and stature.
Corlien’s notes: A bright wine with upfront blackcurrant, black berries, graphite and intriguing spice. It’s a pondering wine, demanding attention, yet so easy to understand. A bit like reading your favourite book with glass in hand.
