The Rhône River originates in Switzerland and flows West till it turns South at the town of Lyon in France. The winegrowing region referred to as the Rhône Valley starts near the town of Lyon and follows the river South towards Provence. It’s divided into several appellations and for the largest part of it the focus is on Syrah.

This tasting is not all about Syrah only though. We will travel along the river, starting with Condrieu, through the Northern appellations of Cornas, Saint Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage as we make our way to the Southern regions of Chateuneuf du Pape and Gigondas.
