Why say anything when winemaker Alexandra McFarlane, the founder of these beautiful boutique wines, says it all herself! And… to add fuel to the fire, she will be here pouring her own wines, with us, on this Saturday.

“McFarlane Wines was started as a small side-project by my husband and I in 2018. We are so proud of South Africa’s vinous heritage so we have chosen to champion our heritage varieties Chenin blanc, Semillon, Cinsault and Pinotage.  We aim to make fresh, clean wines that show great purity of fruit. We harvest our grapes from various regions and growers to harness the magic that comes from the many unique pockets we have across the Western Cape.  Our approach to winemaking is gentle yet pragmatic. We love big old barrels, we love time on lees for added texture and want the fruit to speak for itself.  Quality, balance and consistency in our wines is the name of the game!” – Alexandra McFarlane
