On the 30th of September, we are hosting Baleia (which means Whale in Portuguese).

This is a very special farm for an array of reasons. Firstly it has a very unique terroir which consists of mineral-rich soils that contain limestone as well as salt deposits. The site has harsh climatic conditions and the wines aptly reflect it’s maritime positioning. It is the first and only vineyard in the Lower Duivenhoks River where winemaker Gunter Schultz and the Baleia team harness a holistic approach and have a deep understanding of farming in this special landscape.
