The Saldanha Wine & Spirit Co was established in 2023 by the Badenhorst Family, well known in the Swartland wine region. Their mission is to celebrate the forgotten heroes of the wine world, the Fortified and Sweet wines. South Africa has a strong tradition and history of producing these wines. We honour and celebrate with you the incomparable variety of styles through small and selected once-off bottlings.

Oloroso style marks batch No.3 from The Saldanha Wine & Spirit Co.
This style refers to fortified wine aged oxidatively for an extended period. It’s usually dark in colour and quite nutty.
Important to note there is no flor yeast aging at all.

Made from the traditional sherry grape, Palomino and aged for 12 years oxidatively entirety. No flor at all.
It has a sweetness level of 54g|L sugar.
If you remember Monis, this would have been the Medium Cream Sherry. Too much sugar to be dry and too little sugar to be full cream.
