Saturday Sipping Session – Ghost Corner Wines

April 6, 2024 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Free

Join for a tasting of wines that are as youthful and promising as South Africa’s youth.

David Nieuwoudt is best known as the owner and winemaker of the high-altitude Cederberg Private Cellar near Clanwilliam. He is also the man behind the Ghost Corner range of wines from Elim, which is near the southernmost tip of Africa, and receives the cool coastal breezes and mist from the two oceans.

The Ghost Corner range produced at the Cederberg farm was inspired by the extreme coastal area around Cape Agulhas, known as ‘Spookdraai’, where many ships have been wrecked. Folklore has it that the ghosts of many sailors who perished through the years can be seen wandering the wild waters. These wines are as intriguing and extreme as the story of their origin at the southernmost tip of the Cape winelands.

We will be enjoying:

Ghost Corner Sauvignon Blanc 2023

Ghost Corner The Bowline 2023

Ghost Corner Pinot Noir 2022

Ghost Corner Syrah 2021
