Adi Badenhorst is a true legend among wine fraternity. One of the original Swartland Revolutionists, who opened our eyes to the exceptional wines that can be produced from the special soils around Paardeberg, Riebeekberg and surrounding areas. Adi is the leader of the Badenhorst pack on their special Kalmoesfontein farm and the recently acquired Jakkalsfontein farm right next to it, on the slopes of Paardeberg. Here they tend really old vineyards of Grenache, Cinsaut, Chenin Blanc and more. There’s always something new happening, as Adi is a man full of bright ideas, with a team ready to implement all these crazy things. And it somehow just works every time.

If you have not met Adi yet, now is your chance. Be prepared for stories from a raconteur, while tasting some of the Swartland’s best wines. We cannot wait to have “Ché” in the house.

Here’s where we normally give you the list of wines we’ll be tasting, but with Adi things can sometimes change at a moment’s notice. So what we can tell you, is that you’re in for a treat. Ramnasgras, Sout van die Aarde, Sk’windjievlei, Kalmoesfontein and more is definitely in the line-up. So trust the man, he’ll bring the good juice and his good humour to the city just for us.

The tasting will be presented in a tutored sit down format for a limited amount of people.
