My winemaking philosophy is simple; source grapes from exceptional vineyards, pick them at the correct time and help guide them through the natural process of winemaking to produce expressive, individual wines of the highest quality, wines that I enjoy to drink. – Miles

Miles joined Tokara as a young winemaker in 2000, after stints in Clare Valley, Napa Valley, Sicily and a few harvests with some of SA’s leading winemakers. He took this estate from infant to one of South Africa’s top wine brands in a rather short time.
Miles Mossop Wines already started in 2004, whilst still full time at Tokara. He left Tokara in 2018 after 19 very successful harvests, to focus 100% on his own brand.

The range of wines start with The Introduction series. These wines are fruit forward and fresh without losing the varietal characters and complexity.
The Chapters series are limited release wines from interesting vineyards Miles might find on his journeys through the winelands. These are all single vineyards wines of outstanding quality.
The Family wines, bearing the names of family members, are considered the flagship range. Wines of the highest quality with fruit expression, balance and age-ability in mind.
