This wine is a blend of Semillon from old trellised and bush-vines in Franschhoek and Stellenbosch, with Sauvignon Blanc from Stellenbosch.
Hand-harvested, naturally-fermented. The Semillon spent 9 months in old 600 litre barrels.
Corlien’s notes: Fantastic with food, this is a full and rich wine with a gorgeous mouthfeel and then a lovely tight mineral finish.

Franschoek has been an established wine region for some 350 years, sensible generations never thought to plant a vine on this particular site until a happy band of idealists recently craned their necks up at this hillside and, dizzy with hope, decided to give it a go.
The Wildeberg wines express the most captivating Franschhoek Valley fruit. In their Wildeberg Terroirs bottlings they look beyond their home to a clutch of exceptional sites of other origin.
The farm’s compact barrel hall is busily bubbling away with wild ferments whilst a small winery will form the next evolutionary phase. They have sublime accommodation for guests and arguably the most dramatically-appointed tasting room in the hemisphere.
