Klein Constantia Sauvignon Blanc Explored

Klein Constantia Site Specific Sauvignon Blanc

Join us as we taste Constantia through a Sauvignon Blanc lens.

Making Site Specific Sauvignon Blanc is what Klein Constantia is known for. The 44 Sauvignon Blanc parcels on the farm, planted to a range of different clones on various soils, are all dry land farmed. The vines range between 4 and 20 years of age and picking would typically last about 6 weeks between all the different sites. All of this gives winemaker Matt many building blocks for the final wines.

We are looking forward to tasting and understanding the obsession and precision that goes into crafting these wines.
Klein Constantia Cap Classique will be served on arrival with light snacks, followed by a tutored tasting of the different Sauvignon Blancs Klein Constantia is currently making, including Metis 2017 and Clara 2018. Let’s see how well these iconic wines age as we taste the latest release 2021, 2012 and 1997 from the farm’s own library.
The evening will be concluded with South Africa’s first and best natural sweet wine, Vin de Constance 2018.
